All Volunteer, not-for-profit organization providing at-cost, non-competitive outdoor activities for GLBT people in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut tristate region. Over 100 outings per year are led by members. Established in 1980, we go hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, horseback riding, skiing, skating, camping, and backpacking. We also do metro events (within New York City), and extended treks, including international vacation trips. Examples of past trips include Provence, France, The Galapagos Islands, Copper Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. We also rent a ski lodge for our members in Vermont, and a Beach House at Fire Island Pines. Check our calendar for the current outings coming up, join the club now, or come as our guest on up to two outings. To meet members and team captains, or hear about our activities and what Sundance has to offer, also check our calendar for the date of our next open house, held quarterly at the LGBT Center in New York.
