The Bee and Thistle sits nestled on five acres bordering the Lieutenant River, in the township of Old Lyme, Connecticut. The Inn is available as a large private guest house or by the individual room on a bed & breakfast basis, daily, weekly, or monthly. All of our nine guest rooms are adorned with elegant accents, each individual in design. Therein you will find fine linens, down pillows and a private bath.
While you relax as our guest, there are many pleasant diversions just minutes away. You can choose from local museums, galleries and concerts. Or, as an alternative, you can enjoy shopping at one of the many antique and specialty stores in town.
Planning a wedding requires many decisions and arrangements We will assist with every stage of your wedding plans to ensure that all the details are in place. Our exquisitely decorated inn and breathtaking gardens and river are a perfect backdrop for your wedding. Let us help create a unique wedding that fits your personal style. We hold weddings for guests of 40-130 in the months of June-September. These events will be a combination of a tented event and use of the inn. Weddings for guests of 40 or less are held year round upon availability. The facilities on the property include a sunken garden and beautiful grounds that lead down to the Lieutenant River.
