In private practice since 1979, I offer individual, couples, group and family therapy, plus workshops on stress management, communication skills and assertiveness. I have had LGB patients over the years and I have a gay son. I was born in Turkey, where I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology in 1965. Then, as a Fulbright Scholar and a CENTO Fellow, I received my master's and doctorate degrees in psychology and education from UCLA. I have also taught at St. Mary's College of Maryland, Mt. Vernon College in Washington, D.C., Johns Hopkins University and the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore.
