I am a psychologist in private practice in NYC (upper Westside). I believe therapy is an exciting adventure in which therapist and patients agree to enter into an exploration of the patient's life, dreams, problems, fears, hopes and aspirations. The therapist is there as guide: sometimes to lead, to share and always, to jointly explore who the individual is. I specialize in helping people distinguish between their thoughts and feelings as separate sources of information, in order to integrate an understanding of life's complexities that are woven within the tapestry of the self that reveals to us who we truly are.
I have evolved an eclectic approach to deal with varied issues people bring to the psychotherapeutic process." This therapist offers a free initial consultation To arrange a visit: Email me at: drjoelgold@aol.com or telephone 212 362 2167
