I am a New York State Licensed Psychoanalyst who works with individuals and couples from varied backgrounds, cultures and professions, with a specialized interest in working with lesbian and gay individuals and couples. I approach the work from a 'gay affirmative' model -- a model that says that both homosexuality and heterosexuality are naturally occurring states, neither of which is intrinsically pathological. My own background in the arts has also allowed me to work very successfully with a great number of artists and creative individuals, from dancers to writers, painters to singers.
I have weekday morning, afternoon and evening hours available, and I have offices in both Greenwich Village and Long Island City. Sliding scale can be arranged where there is demonstrated need, and although I do not bill insurance companies directly, I can provide a statement of services for you to submit to your insurance company, or for a flexible health spending account.
