"Although I work with many different kinds of clients, they all have this need in common: to work effectively with an experienced therapist in a safe, nurturing setting. In my 35 years of practice, I've learned that clients have abilities, strengths and resources which they can use in partnership with me for their own progress and healing. Whether you're anxious or depressed, have relationship issues, or feel traumatized by a long ago event, we can offer a place where you can start your journey to recovery.
I have been working with gay and lesbian clients, adult survivors of trauma (alcoholic, physically, sexually, and emotionally abusive homes) for nearly 30 years. I see individuals, couples, and families. I also see individuals grappling with issues of later substance abuse recovery.
I am a solo practitioner and can provide greater individual attention to each client. My practice is located in the Oyster Point area of Newport News (the new downtown), three minutes from the interstate, and is located on the bus line. I take most insurances, including TRICARE."
