SPACIOUS, romantic suite with private entrance, King size bed, seating area, private ensuite bathroom with whirlpool tub with shower. (Yep. It’s a great room for honeymooners, too.) Sofabed for 2 extra guests.
When the house was a bordello, this was a parlour where the ladies of the evening waited for their "beaux". Now it's a B&B room that can accommodate 3 guests. ONLY 3 minute walk to Bourbon St., it's convenient to everything in the French Quarter and to convention center.
SPACIOUS WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO KICK BACK: Relax on the chaise lounge and imagine yourself in a bygone era. After your siesta, before getting ready for a night out on the town, kick back on the sofa and listen to the music on WWOZ (local radio station) or watch the news on cable TV, housed in an antique armoire converted to an entertainment area. Or, if you are here on business, there is an antique dressing table where many business people sit with their computer.
Table and chairs are just outside your door on the entrance balcony overlooking the courtyard. In addition to the shared entrance balcony, you ALSO have a small private, standing balconette off bedroom that gives you a unique view of French Quarter rooftops, and fireworks from the riverfront (balconette is word we use to say it's a standing balcony only).
Location, location, location. Some say that's the most important thing. The bed and breakfast is 1/2 block to the French Quarter, only a 3 minute walk to the world-famous Bourbon Street, and a block to the luxury inn where celebrities stay. You can walk to the Ernest Morial Convention Center, French Market, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral, historic cemeteries, Mississippi Riverboats, Cafe du Monde, Canal St., Mardi Gras parades, shops, restaurants, music clubs and bars, St. Charles Avenue, or "hitch a ride" on the streetcars to historic areas not in the FRENCH QUARTER.
