What led you into counseling?
I have always enjoyed helping those around me. As a gay man from small town Idaho, I realized that I had great empathy for those struggling and had a passion for learning the art and skill of counseling. I am intrigued by the human experience and am constantly challenged by the process of psychological health.
What is your educational background?
I have a BA in Psychology from Lewis-Clark State College located in Lewiston, Idaho. I have a MA in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College located here in Portland. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the state of Oregon. I have numerous other trainings and certificates related to specific mental health counseling.
Do you have any specialties?
I have experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I have knowledge in the treatment of trauma, depression, anxiety, as well as a variety of other disorders.
